Founder and principal consultant of the IT Management Consulting firm Ardigent Consulting.
Engagements:
·        Cloud PMO Agile/DevSecOps Coach (Client: Department of State) – team, program, and executive-level coach – transformed the CPMO to a large-scale Agile program (7 teams); established a team (self)assessment framework; establishing Agile  governance process and metrics; achieved 4x reduction of release cycles and overall product quality improvement.
·        IRM Systems Integration Office Agile Coach (Client: Department of State) – team, program, and executive-level coach; coached the team through establishing their DevSecOps tooling and processes; assisted the team with adopting lean product management capabilities; brokered partnerships and DevSecOps support in a very fractured organization.
·        Enterprise Agile Transformation SME (Client: Department of State) – authored and co-authored the roadmap and artifacts for the Department-wide Agile transformation – Agile Policy, FAQs, Glossary. Worked with and influenced senior executes.
·        Enterprise Agile Transformation Lead and Technical Agile Coach (Client: Securities and Exchange Commission) – conducted an agency-wide Agile Readiness Assessment; prepared the Agile Transformation Roadmap; authored the SEC Agile Playbook; coached the first Agile Pilots. Provided CIO/DCIO support and Agile Transformation status reporting.
·        Agile and DevSecOps Coaching (Clients: misc. mid-tier GovCon) – guided the clients in forming their DevSecOps Communities of practice; coached high-velocity teams; facilitated workshops; managed the coaching backlog for best practice adoption.
·        AI/ML Rapid Prototyping (Clients: misc. GovCon) - coached three teams through the design and implementation of fully operational ML-enabled solutions built with microservice architecture, deployed on AWS via CI/CD pipelines; consulted the leadership team on developing advanced skills and corporate approach for continuous learning.  

VP, Agile and DevOps Services at Variq Mar 2016  - Apr 2018

Line of Business Lead, Agile and DevOps Services – corporate capability development and growth, thought leadership, P&L responsibilities:

·        Developed new corporate capabilities for Agile Delivery, DevOps, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Development. Technical Coach for the team that performed the FHS UCSIC e-Verify system migration to the AWS cloud.

·        Stood up the Agile and DevOps Center of Excellence. Built the internal R&D lab for innovation and prototyping of AWS cloud solutions and evaluation of DevOpsSec tools. Coached the cross-functional team in adopting best DevSecOps practices.

·        Consulted client leadership at DHS OBIM and Coast Guard on planning and executing their Agile transformations.  Consulted DHS USCIS client leadership on best practices for scaling Agile in large programs.

·        Managed a portfolio of eight (8) Federal prime contracts (160 personnel, $15.5M annual budget). Achieved in 2017: budget underrun of $1.7M; new revenue of $1.6M; a significant increase in CPAR ratings, numerous client kudos and social media shout-outs.

  • Brokered new corporate partnerships with AWS and Scaled Agile. Developed strong relationships with clients, prime/sub teaming partners, and technology vendors to grow the business.


Agile Delivery Program Manager - Common Securitization Solutions JV at Fannie Mae May 2012  - Mar 2016

Developed a portfolio of shared services for: Continuous Integration; Build & Release Automation; Configuration Management; Release Management; Code Quality; Test Data Generation; Architectural POCs, and DevOps.

·        System Integration Lead and Enterprise Release Managerfor the Common Securitization Platform – an industry-wide mortgage securitization utility consisting of 10 microservices and 3 COTS products. Established the internal standards and procedures for release management, API versioning, branch management, and code quality management.

·        Championed SAFe adoption to scale agility across a fast-growing team. Mentored and coached junior Scrum Masters.

·        Managed the implementation of two generations of CI/CD pipeline and the automated CI test suite.

·        Facilitated a major data center migration from the Fannie Mae infrastructure to AWS - 240+ VMs and 50+ environments.
